RODRIGO GUTIERREZ BERNARDEZ

ARCHITECT & LIGHTING DESIGNER

Rodrigo Gutierrez Bernardez was born on October 28th, 1988 in Mexico City. Place where he grew up and finished his education as an Architect at Universidad Iberoamericana. He studied abroad at the Politecnico de Madrid, AEDES in Berlin and Politecnico di Milano (lighting design).

At the age of eighteen, he started working as tour manager assistant and later on as logistic manager at Artempo Productions in Mexico City. 

After he achieved a bachelor degree as an architect, he worked at JLL in Mexico City as Administrative Manager in the residential buildings department. Shortly he moved to Florence, Italy, to study Italian with the determination in entering to Lighting Design and LED Technology Master degree at the Politecnico di Milano.

Two years later he graduated as a Lighting Designer and made his internship at iGuzzini Illuminazione’s headquarters in Recanati, Italy, where he was employed until August 2016.

​

Now he works in his own architectural and lighting design studio in Mexico City. He also teaches at his alma mater the Universidad Iberoamericana as a lighting design profesor.
